Beginner Cast On: Knitting On (video tutorial)
Casting on is the first stage of any piece of knitting. It’s how you get your stitches onto the needles so that you can begin to knit them. This means that it’s the first thing you need to learn when you start to knit. The method below, called ‘knitting on’, is a really great cast on to learn as a beginner, because it uses a modified knit stitch. This means that you will learn how to knit as you learn how to cast on!
