Worsted weight blend of English Masham wool and Argentinian mohair. Produced in Peru by The Fibre Co.

A classic worsted weight yarn from The Fibre Co. inspired by England’s stunning north-western landscape. The yarn is a blend of fine South American Merino, English Masham wool and Argentinian Mohair. Merino gives softness while darker Masham fibres mean that when dyed the yarn has a lovely heathered effect. Mohair adds strength and lustre, resulting in a soft and strong yarn that is perfect for everyday knitwear and accessories. Check out The Fibre Co. About The Fibre Co.

The Fibre Co. began in 2003 in Portland, Maine, USA and is now based in England’s Lake District. Founder Daphne Marinopoulos had a vision to create yarns that she couldn’t find on retail shelves and today the company works with a variety of producers and artisans to create luxury yarns in a gorgeous colour palette inspired by nature.

Why We Love Them:

The Fibre Company see themselves as a greening business, constantly looking for ways to improve their impact on the environment. They are always transparent about the origins of the fibres that they work with.
