Lord’s Seat is a slouchy beanie featuring an undulating cable rib. It is knitted from the bottom up with a brim of half twisted rib and very attractive crown shaping. The pattern requires only one hank of Cumbria, which gives the fabric lustre and softness whilst retaining excellent stitch definition.
Cumbria Worsted is a classic worsted weight yarn from The Fibre Co. The yarn is a blend of fine South American Merino, English Masham wool and Argentinian Mohair. Merino gives softness while darker Masham fibres mean that when dyed the yarn has a lovely heathered effect. Mohair adds strength and lustre, resulting in a soft and strong yarn that is perfect for everyday knitwear and accessories.
Lord’s Seat is designed by Inese Sang, and is part of The Fibre Co.’s Foundations AW19-20 collection. We will send you a copy of the PDF pattern via email once you have placed your order.
Construction
The hat is knitted in the round from the bottom up and features a wave like pattern, which is rapidly decreased at the top of the crown.
