This is a beautiful, undyed DK weight yarn made from 100% pure British Romney lambswool. Available in four subtle naturally coloured shades ranging from ecru to dark grey. Lambswool is soft, which makes this yarn ideal for a range of wearable accessories such as gloves, hats and scarves, and also children’s toys. This yarn is a fairly plump dk weight and has great stitch definition so squishy cables will really stand out. It is a little rustic and very easy to knit with as dropped stitches will stay put rather than running away. The knitted fabric is stretchy and holds its shape. Romney yarn felts and takes dyes incredibly well.

They believe firmly in raising awareness of all the benefits that wool can bring and they have built a sustainable business based on traditions going back hundreds of years. They aim to conserve the historic Romney Marsh pasture and create products that are naturally processed, with no dyes or synthetic chemicals. A strong emphasis on not wasting anything has led them to create a range of beautiful wool based products beside knitting yarn, such as rugs and cushions, clothing and lanolin based toiletries. Romney Marsh Wools has recently achieved carbon neutral status.
